Here's a photo of Esther Crayton ( the widow of Pee Wee Crayton ) and my son Jesse (who's Godfather was Pee Wee ) at Esther's home in LA. She still looks great and she has never lost an ounce of that wonderful spirit of hers! We had a wonderful time together. She told us some history of the blues scene here in LA on Central Ave. And, a few hilarious Pee Wee stories that I can't repeat here!

I've been in Linden TX doing the T-Bone Walker Festival and staying in a cabin. Great place on a lake. But I was so far in the country that yesterday arrived today! Here's a mural close to the town square in Linden- the birthplace of T-Bone Walker. I met T-Bone's daughter Bernita after my Friday night concert. We had a great visit. Loved her energy-maybe she got that from her Dad? I like to think so.

Finally got to meet one of my favorite ladies last night at The Hall of Fame Dinner at The BMA's in Memphis TN - Denise LaSalle. I sure played a lot of her music when I was the 'jock' on KLON/KJZZ in Los Angeles.
Here's a mural on Camp Street in Crockett TX. Keeping a piece of the history of The Texas Blues alive. Pip Gillette told me an Eagle Scout did this as a contribution to his community. Pretty special, huh?
