Active since the mid-1980s and with about two dozen entries in his discography, Doug MacLeod sets up camp in a rare niche of storytelling bluesman that are attuned to the textures and rhythms of life.

On this excursion, the wry Californian's distinctive singing voice and straight-talking guitar comment on a "rough-and-tumble" woman, staying true to oneself, the road back home, the splendor of the Blue Ridge Mountains and more. Subtle and firm support is supplied by seasoned pros Mike Thompson on piano, Denny Croy on bass and Jim Botti on drums.

Hey Dubbheads !

As you already know from the last two email blasts there's some big news going on.

The new album Break The Chain is due to drop on July 7, 2017. Again, it's a very special and the most diverse album I've done. My son Jesse co-wrote and plays on the title track which is about breaking the chain of violence and abuse that occurs way too much in families. The other songs range from topical, satirical, humorous, solo guitar instrumentals, and even spoken word. And joining me on this album were three excellent musicians - Denny Croy on bass, Jimi Bott on drums, and Oliver Brown on percussion.

Coming soon to iTunes and Amazon. We'll keep you posted!

They're miniature replicas of the National M-1, I use called 'Moon'. Here's Jesse checking one out. Oh yeah, over Jess' left shoulder is his Godfather Pee Wee Crayton looking on.

AUTOGRAPHED MINI MOON $65.00.

Like I say even if you don't play guitar you can have some fun with a 'Mini-Moon'. I mean if someone should ask you if you play guitar or a musical instrument you can say, "Yeah, I can play a little guitar."  :-)   We are getting very close to buttoning up the DVD of stories we call 'Dubb's Front Porch'. More on that to come. Thanks for your patience here. I appreciate it.

Next month I'll begin touring to promote 'Break The Chain'. Heading to Minnesota, the Pacific Northwest and the Midwest...

Plus we have the autographed 'Mini-Moon's'

available at the online signature store.
