Active since the mid-1980s and with about two dozen entries in his discography, Doug MacLeod sets up camp in a rare niche of storytelling bluesman that are attuned to the textures and rhythms of life.

On this excursion, the wry Californian's distinctive singing voice and straight-talking guitar comment on a "rough-and-tumble" woman, staying true to oneself, the road back home, the splendor of the Blue Ridge Mountains and more. Subtle and firm support is supplied by seasoned pros Mike Thompson on piano, Denny Croy on bass and Jim Botti on drums.

I hope you and yours have a very Happy and Healthy New Year! And I want to make sure you know how grateful I am for your continuing support of me and my music.  Without you it just doesn't happen. So thank you all very much!

COMING UP IN 2018

First of all, let me introduce you to 'Butternut'. I fell in love with this guitar when I dropped by National last year during a tour.

Eric Smith (the boss) said, "Would you like this to be your guitar?"  I said, "Yes."

I thought he meant would I like to have it. Now just before Christmas I was checking the National website to prepare for the NAMM Show later this month and lo and behold what do I see?

'Butternut' on the front page listed as The Doug MacLeod Signature 14 Fret Model. Very cool Christmas surprise present!

Break The Chain to be released on vinyl in 2018. Date TBA so stay tuned!

Tours across the U.S. including The Suncoast Blues Festival in March.

U.K. and European Tours including my first trip to Estonia. Some more announcements coming soon, so again- stay tuned.

On the bottom of this Dubb-Letter, you'll see some icons for Facebook,Youtube,Twitter, Instagram, and Spotify. Please feel free to drop by those sites and check 'em out.

Spotify is a great place to listen to my music, because every time you stream, a little more goes in the bucket.

Plus, it's the only place you can hear my personal playlist I call Dubb's Gumbo.

And, last but not least, this is Dubb Da' Dog. He lives in Holland with Chris and Rina and he wants to wish you all a Happy New Year too!
